Privacy Policy

Your workspace is personal. Here’s how information moves through Lilac, what it’s used for, and the choices available to you.

1. About this policy

This policy describes personal information processed when you use Lilac Code (“Lilac”, “we”, “us”). It covers our AI workspace, Buds, connected tools, automations, and related websites.

2. Information you provide

Account information includes details associated with your sign-in, such as your name, email address, profile image, and any additional account details you choose to provide.

Workspace information includes prompts, conversations, uploaded files, generated results, Bud instructions, saved memory, automation configurations, and feedback or support messages you send us. Do not submit sensitive information that is unnecessary for the task.

3. Optional weather display

If you enable weather, your browser contacts GeoJS directly to infer an approximate city from your network address. It rounds the area coordinates and requests forecasts and sunset times directly from MET Norway. These services receive the browser’s network address; the lookups and results are cached on your device. Lilac does not relay these requests through its servers or save the weather location to your account. This feature does not request precise device location.

4. Connected services

When you connect an account or tool, Lilac processes connection details and the information accessed through that connection to perform your requested tasks. Depending on the service and permissions, this may include files, messages, calendar items, or other workspace content.

Access credentials and authorization tokens are used to maintain enabled connections. You can disconnect integrations or revoke authorization through the relevant service. Information already included in a conversation or task result may remain until it is separately removed.

5. Google user data and Limited Use

Connecting Google Calendar is optional and requires your authorization. Within the permissions you grant, Lilac can access event details, descriptions, locations, attendees, meeting links, and free/busy information. It uses this information to answer your Calendar questions, manage events you request, and run reminders and automations you enable.

Lilac uses Google user data only to provide the features you authorize. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Transfers are limited to providing those features with your consent, protecting security, meeting legal obligations, or a business transfer with your prior explicit consent.

Relevant Calendar information may be sent to AI providers to complete your task. We restrict AI routing to providers that do not collect inputs for training. Zero Data Retention (ZDR) routing is a paid-plan benefit and is not enabled by Lilac for Free plans. Free-plan providers may retain prompts and responses under their applicable policies; Free does not include a zero-retention guarantee. All tools, including Google Calendar, remain available on both Free and paid plans, subject to authorization and usage limits.

Connection tokens are stored encrypted so enabled Calendar features can continue working. Calendar information included in conversations, tool results, reminders, automations, or saved memory may be stored by Lilac to operate those features. ZDR concerns AI-provider inference retention and does not delete information saved in your Lilac workspace or control a connected service’s retention.

We do not permit people to read Google user data except with your affirmative permission for specific data, where necessary for security or legal compliance, or for permitted internal operations using aggregated data. You can disconnect Calendar in Accounts or revoke Lilac’s access from your Google Account. Disconnecting stops future access; previously saved workspace content must be removed separately. Contact help@lilac.codes for access or deletion requests.

Lilac’s use of information received from Google APIs, and transfer of that information to other apps, adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Technical and usage information

Operating the Services can involve processing request logs, device and browser details, network information, errors, usage measurements, and security events. Our website uses Vercel Analytics to measure website usage. Our authentication service uses information needed to sign you in and maintain your account.

Browser storage is used for workspace preferences, such as appearance and your selected Bud. Authentication and other features may also use cookies or similar technologies.

7. How information is used

We process information to authenticate accounts, provide conversations and task execution, run enabled automations, maintain connected tools, remember context through the memory feature, manage billing and usage, respond to support requests, and protect the Services.

Saved memory can personalize interactions across Buds. You can review and remove available saved memories in Profile → System Preferences → Data Management. Automations can be paused or removed in the Automations screen.

8. Service providers and sharing

Providing Lilac involves external providers for authentication, hosting, storage, AI inference, billing, analytics, and connected tools. Relevant task content is transmitted to providers needed to perform the task, including AI model providers and services you choose to connect.

When you instruct Lilac to send, publish, or otherwise share content, that content is made available to the destinations involved in your instruction. Those recipients and connected services process information under their own policies.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to investigate security incidents.

9. Retention and deletion

Information is retained as needed for the relevant feature, account administration, security, or applicable legal obligations.

You can remove available saved memories, disable automations, and disconnect accounts through the workspace. Account deletion through the sign-in provider may not by itself remove all Lilac workspace data. Contact help@lilac.codes to request assistance with access, export, correction, or deletion of your information.

10. Your choices and rights

You can update available account details, control connected tools, change local preferences, and manage saved memory and automations. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.

Send privacy requests to help@lilac.codes. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Applicable exemptions and legal obligations may limit what can be deleted or provided.

11. Security and international processing

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials private, use available account security controls, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Our providers may process information in countries different from your own.

12. Children and policy updates

Lilac is intended for people who can lawfully use the Services and satisfy applicable account age requirements. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate.

We may update this policy as our product and practices change. The updated policy will show its revision date, and material changes will be communicated as required by law.
