Terms of Service
A few things to know as we work together. These terms describe your use of Lilac, your Buds, and the tools you connect.
1. Using Lilac
Lilac Code (“Lilac”, “we”, “us”) provides an AI workspace for conversations, specialized assistants called Buds, connected tools, and automations. These Terms describe the conditions for using our websites, applications, and related services (“Services”).
Using the Services means accepting these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. You must be legally able to enter into an agreement and satisfy any age requirements that apply where you live.
2. Your account
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for the instructions and activity you authorize through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share access in a way that puts another person’s information or the Services at risk.
3. AI outputs and your judgment
Lilac uses AI models that can make mistakes, omit information, or produce similar outputs for different users. Review outputs and actions for accuracy and suitability before relying on them, sharing them, or using them in another system.
The Services do not replace qualified professional advice. Do not rely on AI outputs alone for decisions that materially affect someone’s health, legal rights, finances, employment, or safety.
4. Your content
You retain your rights in the prompts, files, and other material you provide. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit that material and to instruct Lilac to work with it. You grant us permission to process, store, and transmit it as needed to provide the Services and carry out your instructions.
You may use generated outputs subject to applicable law and third-party rights. We do not guarantee that an output is unique, accurate, or free of third-party intellectual property claims. Our processing of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Connected accounts and actions
Connecting a service enables Lilac to work with that service within the access and instructions you provide. Connect only accounts and resources you are authorized to use. Third-party services have their own terms, privacy practices, availability, and fees.
Review the scope of each connection and the consequences of instructions that send messages, change files, publish content, or perform other external actions. Disconnect tools or revoke access when you no longer want Lilac to use them. Disconnecting cannot undo actions already completed.
6. Automations
Automations perform tasks on a schedule using the configuration, connected accounts, and permissions you authorize. Review those settings before enabling an automation and update them when your needs change. You can pause or remove automations in the workspace.
Schedules and results may be affected by service outages, expired credentials, usage limits, or third-party changes. Do not use automations as the sole mechanism for emergency alerts or other time-critical obligations.
7. Acceptable use
Use Lilac lawfully and respect the rights of others. Do not use the Services for fraud, harassment, malicious software, unauthorized access, unlawful surveillance, or sharing content you are not entitled to use. Do not bypass access controls, misuse another person’s credentials, or disrupt the Services.
We may limit or suspend activity that threatens the security of the Services, violates these Terms, or creates a material risk of harm.
8. Plans and payments
If you purchase a paid plan, the price, usage limits, billing frequency, and any applicable taxes will be shown before purchase. Any recurring charges or renewal terms must be disclosed in the purchase flow. Manage your plan through the billing controls in your profile.
Cancellation, refunds, and payment disputes are subject to the terms disclosed at purchase and your applicable statutory rights. Payments to a third-party service remain subject to that service’s terms.
9. AI-provider data retention by plan
All tools are available on Free and paid plans, subject to your authorization and applicable usage limits. Lilac enables Zero Data Retention (ZDR) routing for paid-plan AI requests. Free plans do not include ZDR; AI providers may retain prompts and responses under their applicable policies. We restrict AI routing to providers that do not collect inputs for training, including when Google Calendar information is involved.
ZDR applies to AI inference providers. It does not remove conversations, tool results, memories, connection tokens, or other information Lilac stores to operate your workspace, and does not control the retention policies of connected services. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle Google user data and other workspace information.
10. Availability and changes
We may update features, models, integrations, and usage limits as the Services develop. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every feature or integration will remain available. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes to paid services.
We may update these Terms. The updated Terms will show their revision date, and material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
11. Ending your use
You may stop using Lilac, disable automations, disconnect accounts, and manage account closure through your account settings. Contact help@lilac.codes for assistance with workspace data removal. Account closure and deletion of workspace data may involve separate steps.
We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms or where required by law. Rights and obligations that necessarily survive termination continue to apply.
12. Responsibility and disputes
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided as available, without a guarantee that outputs will be correct or that the Services will meet every need. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
