Surf now works with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets and Forms
Ask Surf to draft a doc, fill a sheet, build a form, or move files in and out of Drive. It only touches the files you allow.
Surf can now work inside your Google Drive. One Google connection covers Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Forms, so the work Surf does for you can land right where you keep your files.
What Surf can do
- Write Google Docs: drafts, briefs, meeting notes and reports, with real headings and formatting.
- Build Sheets: trackers, budgets and tables, or new rows added to a sheet you already use.
- Create Google Forms: sign-ups, surveys and quizzes, set up and published for you.
- Move files both ways: put a deck, PDF or video Surf made into Drive (up to 200 MB), or pull a file from Drive into Surf’s computer to work on it.
- Convert as it uploads: turn a PowerPoint into Google Slides, or a Word file into a Doc, so you can edit it in your browser.
Ideas to try
- “Turn my notes from today’s call into a Google Doc and add the action items at the top.”
- “Make a registration form for Saturday’s workshop and send me the link.”
- “Add this week’s expenses to my budget sheet.”
- “Research five competitors, build a comparison deck, and save it to my Drive as Slides.”
- “Fix the typos in my launch plan doc.”
Only the files you choose
Surf uses Google’s most limited Drive permission. It can see the files it created and the files you pick for it, and nothing else in your Drive.
When you ask about a file Surf has not been given, it shows an Authorize card. Tap it, choose the file or folder in Google’s own picker, and Surf picks up right where it stopped. Say no, and Surf offers to make a new file instead.
Get started
Open Profile → Accounts and connect Google. If you connected Google Calendar before, reconnect once to add Drive. Then just ask. The documentation has more on connections.
