Introduction
What HeySurf is, and the few ideas that make it easy to use.
HeySurf (formerly Lilac) is an AI workspace where you hand real work to a teammate called a Bud. A Bud can use its own computer and browser, work with the tools you connect, and bring the result back for you to review.
These docs cover the essentials. Start here for the big picture, then follow the how to use guide to get set up.
The core ideas
Buds
A Bud is your AI teammate. You begin with a general Bud, and you can create more: each has a name, instructions, and a set of connections it is allowed to use. Use one Bud per kind of work to keep things focused.
Offers
A Bud does not only wait to be asked. It can notice what needs attention and offer to help. You can accept an offer or leave it for later.
Connections
Connections let a Bud work with your existing tools. You can connect GitHub, Notion, and Google Calendar. You choose what to connect, and a Bud only uses what you allow.
Browser and takeover
Each Bud has its own computer and browser. You can watch it work in the browser preview, take over when you need to, and hand control back when you are done.
Space
Space is where you browse the files in your project, including the ones your Bud creates.
Plans and usage
You can start on the free plan. Pro adds more credits, advanced models, more Buds, and more computer and browser time. Your profile shows your current plan and how much of your allowance you have used.
